NatureQuant
Every touchpoint for the startup
measuring nature's effect on health.
Brand, product, and systems, end to end.
Overview
NatureQuant is a health-tech startup measuring how nature affects human health. Their core product, NatureScore, rates any location's health value from its environmental quality, greenery, and access to nature.
As Lead Designer I shaped the brand, designed the key digital products, and built the tools that researchers, city planners, and individuals use to put that data to work.

Create a unified brand and product ecosystem that communicates scientific credibility while staying accessible to a broad audience.
Design digital tools that make complex environmental data intuitive and actionable.
Support both B2B and B2C use cases: from academic research to everyday wellness.
Brand
I led the creation of a clean, modern visual identity for NatureQuant and built the front-end for naturequant.com, laying the foundation for the company's digital presence. The design balances trustworthiness (data + science) with optimism (health + nature).
Urban Heat Index
Working closely with data scientists, I designed and developed an interactive Urban Heat Index tool, integrating NatureScore and real-time temperature data. The tool visualizes environmental risk across urban areas—offering planners and policymakers a clear way to identify vulnerable communities and guide climate resilience efforts.
NatureQuant OPEN
To expand access to NatureQuant's research-grade data, I helped launch NatureQuant OPEN—an open-access platform designed for academics, nonprofits, and city officials. I contributed to both UX strategy and interface design, ensuring users could easily explore, interpret, and export NatureScore data.
NatureDose Mobile App
On the consumer side, I led the design and prototyping of NatureDose, a mobile app that tracks personal nature exposure via GPS and passive monitoring. The app encourages healthier habits by gamifying time spent in nature and providing wellness insights backed by research.
Strategic Communications
Beyond product design, I created high-impact decks, investor materials, and marketing assets that supported NatureQuant's outreach and growth. These materials played a key role in landing major media coverage (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Outside Magazine) and high-level partnerships.
NatureQuant products are now used by public health researchers, city governments, and individual users alike.
The NatureDose app helped validate the link between time in nature and self-reported wellness in a real-world context.
The brand and digital tools I designed helped position NatureQuant as a thought leader at the intersection of health, nature, and data science.
This project is more than an opportunity to design beautiful interfaces—it's an ongoing effort to build tools with real-world impact. Working at the intersection of environment, data, and health, I continue to see how thoughtful design can help drive systemic change.
